The Red House is located on Lake Buel in the Town of New Marlborough MA in the Berkshires. The cottage is close to the town of Great Barrington, a short 6-mile drive. Close to Stockbridge, Lee, Lenox, Tanglewood, Golf Courses, Normal Rockwell Museum, the Red Lion Inn and all the wonderful hiking, dining and entertainment available in the Berkshires ('South County').
The Red House and the surrounding property has been in our family since 1948. Our grandparents started vacationing in 1933 on the lake, initially renting a cottage and then purchasing their own cottage a few houses down from the Red House. Five generations of our family have been enjoying the 'country' as we have always referred to it. There are 3 other houses belonging to family members on the same 4 acres (separate swimming and dock area) so while you have your own private house and dock, someone is always nearby to attend to any details.
