There's much to see here. So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about the cottage. We hope you enjoy viewing all the Red House has to offer.
The Red House is located 10' off the edge of Lake Buel. Entrance to the house from the parking area is at the same level - access friendly for all ages. The house sits next to a large lawn that adjoins the rest of the property where other members of our family have their houses.
You will spend much of your time lounging around or enjoying your meals on the 30' long screened-in porch that runs the width of the house. Plenty of comfortable seating on the porch and a dining table that seats 8. Bring your own boat and tie it up your private dock.
When not enjoying the screened porch, the Great Room will be the activity center of the house. It starts with the Fireplace area and our friend 'the moose'. The great rooms sliding glass doors open to the screened in porch to bring the summer breezes into the house. Use the two ceiling fans or the room air conditioner
Our Kitchen is fully equipped. Dishwasher, stove, oven, microwave, toaster oven, hot air fryer. Includes complete set of cookware, dining supplies, spices, all utensils and instant coffee maker.
The cottage has four bedrooms sleeping up to eight with two Queen size beds and two rooms with two twin beds in each.
Two kayaks and a standup paddle board are all yours to use and enjoy. Coast Guard approved life jackets for kids and adults are in the house.
Lake Buel is a 196-acre fresh water, spring fed lake in the Town of New Marlborough, Massachusetts, just 6 miles from Great Barrington.
